Four-dimensional double singular oscillator

چکیده
The Schrödinger equation for the four-dimensional double singular oscillator is separable in Eulerian, doble polar and spheroidal coordinates in IR. It is shown that the coefficients for the expansion of double polar basis in terms of the Eulerian basis can be expressed through the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients of the group SU(2) analytically continued to real values of their arguments. The coefficients for the expansions of the spheroidal basis in terms of the Eulerian and double polar bases are proved to satisfy three-term recursion relations.

The Kustaanheimo–Stiefel transformation in geometric algebra
The Kustaanheimo–Stiefel (KS) transformation maps the non-linear and singular equations of motion of the three-dimensional Kepler problem to the linear and regular equations of a four-dimensional harmonic oscillator. It is used extensively in studies of the perturbed Kepler problem in celestial mechanics and atomic physics. In contrast to the conventional matrixbased approach, the formulation o...
متن کاملChaotic attractors of relaxation oscillators
We develop a general technique for proving the existence of chaotic attractors for three-dimensional vector fields with two time scales. Our results connect two important areas of dynamical systems: the theory of chaotic attractors for discrete two-dimensional Henon-like maps and geometric singular perturbation theory. Two-dimensional Henon-like maps are diffeomorphisms that limit on non-invert...
متن کاملPeriodic Solutions and Slow Manifolds
After reviewing a number of results from geometric singular perturbation theory, we give an example of a theorem for periodic solutions in a slow manifold. This is illustrated by examples involving the van der Pol-equation and a modified logistic equation. Regarding nonhyperbolic transitions we discuss a four-dimensional relaxation oscillation and also canard-like solutions emerging from the mo...
متن کاملPt −symmetrized Exact Solution of the Singular Eckart Oscillator
The well known Eckart’s singular s−wave potential is PT −symmetrically regularized and continued to the whole real line. The new model remains exactly solvable and its bound states remain proportional to Jacobi polynomials. Its real and discrete spectrum exhibits several unusual features. متن کاملA one dimensional model showing a quantum phase transition based on a singular potential
We study a one-dimensional singular potential plus three types of regular interactions: constant electric field, harmonic oscillator and infinite square well. We use the Lippman-Schwinger Green function technique in order to search for the bound state energies. In the electric field case the unique bound state coincides with that found in an earlier study as the field is switched off. For non-z...
